Sustainable Design

The Hotel At Oberlin is the first hotel in the United States to incorporate solar and geothermal power. The building uses Öko Skin, a highly sustainable exterior material, and includes rainwater harvesting with advanced solar shading technologies. These systems, combined with a geothermal heating and cooling system, earned the hotel LEED Platinum certification.

Dining at 1833

The on-site 1833 restaurant offers a menu that changes with the seasons, sourcing ingredients from local farmers. Personalized dining experiences highlight these local products and are available for guests. The bar serves a well-stocked cocktail selection and the restaurant provides special diet menus upon request.

Event Spaces

The hotel offers 6500 square feet of event space, which can accommodate up to 350 guests with scenic views of the campus. Each space is customizable and equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual capabilities. The second-floor special events hall has a beautiful view of Oberlin College, and the Lucy Stone room is available for private dinners.
